The pops of yellow peppering the edges of the trees and shrubs are successful in achieving that quality of illumination. Within the darkest part of the leaves, I think the addition of a green with a bit of red mixed in with it would provide you with more depth. Overall, you did a great job!
These are different for you - the yellow underpainting works will and brightens the whole palette. forms are reminiscent of Cezzane - which is also a change for you.
