Hi Class!  Each of you will receive an email with a personal assessment of you work and progress through the class via email.  Overall, while there are still shortcomings with value and saturation that we can all work to address, the overall work met the requirements, and was fun and engaging.  Have a good break and stay safe and healthy!

Black Corona - Final Assignment

This means War- Final Assignment

When I think comic, my mind immediately goes to the storyline, so naturally I went that route. I used French wash, inking, alcohol lift, and tried to use salt lift, but I don't think the salt took very well.

Comic watercolor. The cure

When looking at comics, I always look at the front covers and I really enjoy how there are lots of different things going on at the same time, so I decided to put the focal point towards the people who are more at risk than anyone else right now. And thats the nurses. I wanted the virus to be almost translucent, since you can’t see it anyways and I added a bunch of things I’ve been seeing on the news lately:

Fantasy Terrariums (Part 2!)

Hiya, everyone! Time for part two of my terrariums! I didn't get as many as I wanted to get finished; some aren't even as completed as I wish they were but it is what it is!

I may not have gotten them rendered 100% but I did a lot of detail work on the faces and they took me a while. (´。• ᵕ •。`)

* * *

This one is from the previous post I made. I ended up cleaning up lines and deepening colors. Like before, it's sort of based on the story of Robin Hood.

This is one I couldn't get as rendered as I would've liked! It's based a bit on the story of Beauty & the Beast. ( I got super close to clean the face up but you probably can't see it. :C )

My favorite one of the bunch!! It's inspired by The Little Mermaid and I decided to do a fishbowl by the beach! I'm not sure if the colors carry very well onto a computer scan but I think it's pretty colorful in person!

Last one is a bit inspired by Romeo and Juliet; the story ends with a poison vial being a key part of their deaths so I decided to make them more liquid-y in the glass.
