Here are my first two paintings that I've worked on! I've got a third one I'm sketching out but I'll hopefully be starting soon.
Oil Painting #1:
This one is inspired by an old drawing I made right after I graduated high school. It was just about people playing music in a fishbowl. I still like trying to create underwater settings so I wanted to give it a whirl for an oil painting (but in the ocean rather than a fishbowl this time).
Oil Painting #2:
This one is one that I completed in about a week-and-a-half's time but it was an idea I was sitting on for a while. It changed a bit as I was working on it because of time constraints but overall, I'm okay with the final result. I had to retake the photo about 3-4 times because if it's oh-so slightly skewed, it completely makes the frame within the image look completely uneven. 😅

The first painting feels pretty good and generally conforms to the idea you put forth in your artist statement. Though the jellyfish isn't as developed as the rest of the work, overall it feels pretty good. The second Dorian Grey painting feels very rushed and under developed. Lets see if we can resolve some of that before the end of the term.
